UO US

Is the California Legislature being paid with IOU’s? Would they continue to show up, and do or not the job, if this was the way they were paid? As I see it, none of them are doing the job now anyway! I don’t know it to be fact, but I believe most of them could probably continue on, living a life, that would be fairly comfortable, even with waiting for money owed. That not being the case with the Vendors, who are having to accept this form of payment for goods and services. These vendors are the machines, and there compensation, the oil that keeps the machine running smooth. A society is judged, by how well they take care of there sick and their poor! Do any of them get it? We are all poor! I haven’t worked since November! Until they get this issue solved, they are not doing what is necessary to get us rolling again. They certainly aren’t demonstrating any care for me. I’m a Union Member, a Carpenter, and I expect soon to hear, that I am part of the problem, but I assure you, I am not, I am just a worker. It must be nice, to get a fat check, for not doing the job, that you’ve been hired to do, even better to be given a car, and having the gas for that car paid. If I spent my time on the job, with my thumb up my BUTT, not producing what I was hired to produce, I know I would be run off. IT MUST BE NICE! I don’t drive a car, I don’t own a car. This is not a complaint, actually this has been a blessing. An unintended consequence, of some issues with an ex wife. Had this not been so, I know, through these times without work, I would have gone right down the tube. I put my tools in a backpack, and pedal a bike, from job site to job site, looking for work. I know this may not be helping our economy, no profit from me, for General Motors, not a dime for big oil, but you know its good for me, its good for my world, I’m not able to fuel this effort on fast food, so maybe a tear or two, should be shed for McDonalds as well. On the other hand, maybe not! These company’s have only made us fat, they’ve spoiled our air. I truly feel for my Union Brothers and Sisters, bringing up family’s. The men and women, who bought into the dream, a dream that’s turned to nightmares, loosing there homes, there children hungry. I’ve lost my medical insurance, during this time i’ve been without work, I guess I’m a potential burden on our society. I was offered Cobra, but opted to eat instead. If I don’t feed myself I know I will be sick. Funny they call it Cobra, as a child we would go to the Philadelphia Zoo to watch the Cobras. I’d watch them spread their hoods, ready to strike, a good chance that if your bit, you die. Back to these budget issues, let’s just cut them off, they have no empathy, something they all need to learn! As far as our Governor goes, it was Joe Gold, a man who worked every day of his life, until the day he died. He took Arnold under his wing. I knew Joe Gold, he was tough, but he cared, I can’t ever remember him cutting services, he did well for himself, but from what I could tell, his motivation always was, how could he do better, for the people that looked to him for help
