Once On A Blue Moon!!!!!!! (PART 7)

Dr. Zone and the Moonshine Alchemyst, no battle going on here between the evil and the good, just thought it time to bring in a couple casual heros to the story, even if, only for a cameo! Setting off on this journey, across America by train, I welcomed adventure, I had no idea how it would manifest, what I did, was to prepare. Coming back across the north, I knew the possibility, of not being where I expected, at the stroke of midnight 2009/2010, was likely. For a day or two, I have been hearing about trains, twenty hours late, of trains being suspended, weather to rough for the trains, to continue on their route. My trains all ran on time, heading east through Chicago, I saw snow, seems we got out of there just in time, arriving in Philly, I heard all trains leaving Chicago had been canceled. Leaving, headed home, headed west on the Empire Builder, there was snow falling all the way to Spokane. With a pillow, a blanket, a coffee maker, and some healthy foods, I was well prepared. Some mention is due the train stations, three of them, walking in, take you back in time, to the glory days of train travel, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Portland, all sporting large wooden benches, placed within a large common hall. In Chicago, in the nineties, this station was another of our countries nostalgic transportation hubs, I remember walking through then, it was a grand space, this was about the time of the movie, The Untouchables. It seems after the movie was wrapped, a movement to modernize the space took hold, if your able to view the movie, then walk into that space, a feeling of loss may overwhelm, a few of those large wooden benches remain, someone in Chicago, must have convinced the owners of Union Station, when you vinylize, you finalize!
