Hey Rocky, were not at Third and Indiana anymore, I don’t see any bindels, any crack vials, in the back alleys anymore, any around my neighborhood, around town, thinking about it, I don’t see much of that, anywhere, anymore. Its a fact, the profiteers have staked their claims, dispenserses have sprung up everywhere, there are some grey areas to this law. The biggest problem I’ve heard of is robbery, its seems to be all cash and carry, this is Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, about a block East of Western. Can you remember the cry, the Russians are coming, the Russians are coming, well there here, and it ain’t so bad, either. The District Attorney seems to have taken the position, phony prescriptions, for Medicinal Marijuana, are being written by Doctors. I would suggest, going to, www.doc420.com to read of one Doctors position. From my seat in the bleachers, it seems, if it helps someone sleep, Christ, let them get some sleep, as a direct result, a more pleasant, productive person will emerge. In Michigan, I read a little about a Cannabis College, they are certifying growers, an excellent idea. It just makes sense, to license the farmers of cannabis that is for medical use. In California, we have Oaksterdam University, located in Berkeley, the pieces are in place, a foundation, to establish a certification process in our State. Why not require organic pharmacies to have paperwork, on whatever product, they have on hand, paper work showing it is from a certified grower, stating that grower stands behind his product, that nutrients had ample time to flush from the plant, that the product is free of any harmful chemicals, free from pesticides. Its Sunday morning, another beautiful Autumn day in LA, City Council, is supposed to make some decisions, on dispenserses mid week. Think I’ll head up to the Hollywood Farmers Market today, get a green chili tamale, pick up a tribute to the Egg Plant Empress, check out her cookies mid week. A marijuana economy, in this state, has been in place for years, Law Enforcement Resources, the Court, and Legal System, all the Prisons and Jails, what has ended up on the garbage heap of this economy, has been young kids, basically good kids, sent off, incarcerated, at the time there released, they are a mess, they come out, criminal. For a society, there is no value, for this dollar here, a lot of our budget woes, could be eliminated, just by stopping this nonsense. For years, I’ve heard Cannabis, was the number one, cash crop, in California, Christ, Corporate policy, has killed most industry, shipped most manufacturing, out of state, out of country. When new policy, concerning Medical Marijuana, was announced, that federal resources, no longer would be directed, so long as dispenserses operated within the law, a signal to State and Local Government, that State and Local Rights, would be respected, as they pertain to this matter. Where I’m trying to go with all this, is just stating the obvious, that as a City, as a State, we have a real opportunity here, to create a new revenue stream, bringing tax dollars, into city and state coffers, to stop stuffing our prisons full, over this silly weed, free up Law Enforcement, to take the wind out of the sails, that drive the illicit marijuana trade
